  • Braun, 2011, The name Batrachotetriginae precedes Akicerinae (N. Kluge pers. comm.), but seems to be rather rarely used. Whether it can be considered a nomen oblitum is doubtful.
• Type genus:  Batrachotetrix Burmeister, H., 1838; priority for family-group names based on Batrachotetrix dates from Batrachotetriginae Kirby, W.F., 1910.  First use as Batrachotetriginae by Kirby, W.F., 1910.
