This led to numerous changes in the classification used by this website, including discontinuation of the recognition of this family.
• Type genus:  Malgasia Uvarov, 1940; priority for family-group names based on Malgasia dates from Malgasiinae Gorochov, 1984.  First use as Malgasiidae by Desutter-Grandcolas, 1987.
