A pair of Panteephylus kwangoensis n. sp. was collected in low Zaire in 1931. Male and female were found together at the same site. The fastigium verticis surpasses a bit the' bases of antennae in both sexes. The mate SGP shows a characteristic upright lobe in the distal half, different from other species of the genus. The paranotal spine is black.
