  • Eades, 2004, Various Chinese authors recognize Arcypteridae and Arcypterinae as a separate family or subfamily. However, they have not been accepted by others.
• Type genus:  Arcyptera Serville, 1838; priority for family-group names based on Arcyptera dates from Arcypterae Bolívar, I., 1914.  First use as Arcypteridae by Liu, Jupeng, 1990.
