  • Chamorro-Rengifo & Braun, 2009, The reference mentioned in Otte 1997 cannot be correct. On page 97 of Anais da Sociedade Entomológica do Brasil 5(1) appears only "Uma nova espécie de Phaneropterinae do Brasil (Orthoptera - Tettigoniidae)", describing Scudderia bivittata Piza 1976, from São Paulo, Campinas. There is no type specimen of "Ruspolia bivittata" in the collection in Piracicaba.
