• Scrutiny:
  • Deem, 2007, Dirsh, 1956 originally named the species as Xenotettix rugulosa. In 1961, he stated he had named it as rugulosus and transferred it to Paraxenotettix. Johnston, 1968 mistakenly named the original species as rugulosus but used the correct form as current (Paraxenotettix rugulosa).
